The Teton Flood Museum has a scale model of the Teton Dam. It was made the Bureau of Reclamation to explain the terrible events that occurred June 5 of 1976, when the Teton Dam burst. Above it is a poster detailing the events of the day and the times they occurred. Visit the Museum of Rexburg for more details and for first-hand stories, such as Jay Calderwood’s story of being on the dam as it started to collapse as recorded by East Idaho News.
